My Background and Approach
My background is in community building. While I practice with individuals, I believe that a collectivist lens is a crucial component of effective therapy. Our culture skews towards individualism, which often means that physical and mental health needs go unaddressed. Because of this, I understand it can be difficult to take the first step and ask for help. Some of my modalities include: Person Centered Therapy, Strengths Based Approach, Trauma-Informed Therapy, Systems Theory, Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Nothing is black and white, and I believe that all individuals deserve a place to learn and grow. I work to create a space for all, including neurodivergent, queer and transgender individuals. Therapy is not one-size fits all, and I work to tailor my approach for each individual client. I offer daytime, evening, and weekend appointments.
