About My Clients
I enjoy working with relationally and sexually diverse clients who practice polyamory and other alternative relationships structures and orientations. I work with gender expansive youth and adults and LGBTQQIA2S+ Identities. I often see individuals seeking to learn how to feel safe in their bodies and secure in their relationships. I also celebrate neurodiversity and have extensive experience working with early psychosis.
My Background and Approach
I am warm, real, transparent and collaborative. I am trained in experiential and somatic psychotherapies including trauma treatment modalities such as EMDR and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. I am also trained in Accelerated Dynamic Experiential Psychotherapy (AEDP) which is an emotion focused experiential psychotherapy based in attachment theory. This work supports new client-therapist experiences to help facillitate healthy attachment and address issues of trauma, suffering, loss, and ruptured/damaged attachments effectively and compassionately. My work considers the socio-cultural influences that have touched your life as well as the historic and current systemic oppression impacting communities. My practice is holistic, meaning I make room for how the mind, body and spirit are interconnected and the different ways you interpret the world.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am sex positive which to me means honoring our sexual expression (which includes asexuality and permission and choice to engage in non-sexual pleasure exploration) as a vital part of being human, enhancing one's personal growth and identity exploration. I am also an educator and advocate for diverse marginalized communities. I produce a bi-annual event, the Stanford-UCSF Community Day for Psychosis. This event is guided by values of community building, peer support, epistemic justice and neurodiversity
