About My Clients
I work best with people navigating trauma, grief, chronic pain, or addiction — especially the kind of struggle that doesn't have a clean fix. Many are stuck in self-destructive patterns born out of pain and ready to get unstuck. I know this territory personally — my own history includes abandonment, loss, chronic pain, and grief, and the only way through was having people walk with me when things got messy. If that sounds like you, let's work together to get your life moving forward.
My Background and Approach
I'm trained in EMDR, ACT, trauma-informed care, evidence-based addiction treatment, and spiritual direction — and I draw on whichever combination fits you best. My work with addiction is informed by both clinical training and personal experience navigating substance misuse. Spiritual direction, for those who want it, can help you connect with deeper, more meaningful parts of life and of yourself. In our sessions, expect to be seen, heard, and accepted. You'll likely laugh, you may cry, and you'll definitely be challenged — all in service of real healing, growth, and freedom to live a more meaningful life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we're all addicted to something — to feeling better, to our preferred distractions. Most of our problems trace back to identity: what we believe about ourselves and whether we feel loved, accepted, and like our lives matter to others. Things go off the rails when those core desires get overtaken by core fears — that we're not enough, not worthy, not lovable. Underneath most anxiety and depression, there's usually a real disappointment tied to those unmet desires. Addressing it directly tends to have an outsized impact on overall wellbeing, and it helps enormously to have someone who can see what's happening beneath the surface with you.
