About My Clients
If you find yourself feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stressed, and it seems like your anxiety surpasses those around you, you're not alone. Perhaps it feels like anxiety is taking control of your life. If you resonate with these experiences, you understand the profound impact anxiety can have. It can limit important and meaningful activities, making life appear smaller and more constricted—an all-too-common struggle for those dealing with anxiety disorders.
My Background and Approach
I developed a passion for treating anxiety disorders and OCD throughout the course of my training at the Rutgers Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology, along with a predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Anxiety in New York. This has equipped me with an understanding of the profound impact anxiety can have, overwhelming and limiting peoples lives. In therapy, my primary aim is to empower clients to become their own therapists, fostering a understanding of what is contributing to their anxiety. This approach creates more effective engagement in treatment, equipping individuals with tools and skills to overcome anxiety and sustain success post-treatment. My methodology is based in exposure therapy principles, enabling individuals to understand their anxiety and develop tools to overcome, rather than avoid it. Clients often discover that, after successful treatment, they lead more fulfilling lives and navigate new challenges more effectively.
