My Background and Approach
I practice from the core belief that you are the expert of your own lived experience. I trust your insight, honor your wisdom, and approach therapy as a collaborative process where we work together. I approach therapy with a direct and curious lens. My work is holistic and integrative, drawing from attachment-based, emotion-focused, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approaches. I hold therapy within a social justice–oriented, feminist, intersectional, and systemic framework, recognizing that your identity and experiences are shaped not only by personal history but also by the cultural, political, and relational systems you live within. I see you as a whole person who is shaped by your relationships, your resilience, your wounds, and the broader world around you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I want to foster genuine relationships with my clients - that means I’ll provide support (when you need it!) and challenge you (when you need that too!). I try to make my therapy room feel cozy and comfortable (with pillows, blankets, tea, snacks, fidgets, coloring supplies, etc.). You’ll typically find me sitting criss-cross in comfortable clothing with a coffee in hand. I value your experience, wisdom, and needs, and take that all into account when helping you navigate the things that brought you to therapy in the first place!
