My Background and Approach
I am a compassionate Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, with over 10 years of experience in the treatment of various mental health conditions. I provide patient-centered and trauma-informed care with experience in treatment planning, cognitive behavioral therapy, medication management, and psychotropic medication education. I am a patient advocate with strong clinical skills and take pride in treating patients and families of diverse cultural backgrounds.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a mixed-race individual, and veteran of the US Army, I have experienced many different situations in my life, and connect with patients who may identify similarly. I am open-minded and holistic and empower patients when they feel that they have lost the ability to maintain control. Currently, I perform psychiatric evaluations and medication management. I like to give patients options and allow them decision-making power in every visit. I enjoy meeting patients where they are at in the journey to achieving mental wellness.
