I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor specialized in trauma with over 25 years of clinical experience working with individuals, families and children of children that have been in foster care, and adopted through state, private and international adoption. These children have special needs and have trouble dealing with issues and often stresses the parents out. I work extensively with children who have Reactive Attachment Diagnosis in helping the child and family to heal.

EMDR has been very effective for my clients that have anxiety, depression, addictions and especially dealing with trauma. I believe with trauma victims they shouldn't have to continually tell their story and go over and over it which I feel can retraumatize a person. EMDR has been effective in helping my clients get through the trauma without retraumatizing them and in a lot shorter period of time.

Attachment is very important with children who have been in foster care, adopted, and children who have been abandoned, children who have been raised in domestic violence or separation issues. Children who have severe trauma or children who have been diagnosed with Reactive Attachment Disorder need proper attachment work done to help them to feel safe so they can heal start to heal. Families also need to have attachment work too due to the impact trauma victims can have on the family.
