No one is perfect. We often discuss when addiction began to take over your life and your thoughts and discuss what you tell yourself that makes it okay to keep doing it. Together, I can help you learn how to increase your supports around you that can offer healthy encouragement and to quit your substance use. Addiction counseling is about education, practicing the skill and applying it. We all have choices, the hope is that we make the next right decision for ourselves each time.

We address thinking errors and all or nothing thinking and how that has kept a client stuck in their struggle. I help clients learn how to challenge their thoughts that they have learned over the years that are not healthy for them to keep. We try to shed those and replace them with healthier versions.

I use DBT informed skills to help clients find their wise mind in mindfulness. I help by encouraging empowerment to have your own voice heard. We work together on developing skills to be more mindful to aide in stressful or emotionally charged situations.

Having worked for years with people after suicide attempts and/or talking about depression with their loved ones, I know how difficult depression can be. Combining therapy and medications, we can almost sure depression, no one should suffer alone.

I have worked with individuals, couples and families at all levels of care within the addiction treatment model, inpatient short term residential, intensive outpatient (IOP) and outpatient. I work with people incarcerated, on probation and parole and those who want help on their own. I complete 40 hours of continuing education every year to ensure I stay up today with my education and training.

Many people suffer from anxiety, it doesn't have to control you and can be managed with learning new techniques and skills. Many people seek out counseling specifically due to anxiety, let me help.
