My Background and Approach
I have discovered that people consistently underestimate the influence of their story and how it shapes their emotional state. Research has proven that our emotional experience actually dominates our thought processes more than our thoughts dictate our emotions. My work with clients involves discovering how the narratives you tell yourself shape the way you interpret, feel, and engage with life. By exploring these internal processes, we can reveal how we sabotage the outcomes we want without realizing it.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in people's freedom to choose for themselves the existence that fulfills them most and to create meaning out of those experiences according to their values and core beliefs. I am in pursuit of aiding clients in honoring the truth they hold sacred and helping them apply that to a life they esteem worth living. I find the presence of each human being on the planet to be part of a grand tapestry of difference, uniqueness, and beautiful diversity. Yet, I am aware that many find the need to belittle, debase, degrade, and dehumanize those unlike their preference. For this reason, I champion the causes of the marginalized communities within ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation, and economic status. I am an advocate for those underrepresented voices in the quest for equity and community. I see your worth, and for that reason, I strive to help each client unlock their best self.
