About My Clients
I work with adolescents and adults. I treat a range of challenges, including substance abuse, eating disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, body image concerns, grief and loss, and relationship conflicts. I am also particularly attuned to the complexities of co-occurring concerns and the ways in which life experiences shape emotional well-being.
My Background and Approach
Many clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about how to move forward. My experience in the substance use field has shaped my understanding of change and strengthened my ability to meet clients with empathy, patience, and respect. As a South Indian American and eldest daughter, I also recognize the impact of cultural expectations, family roles, and identity, which informs my commitment to providing culturally responsive, compassionate care. I integrate evidence-based approaches to help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I offer trauma-informed care, supporting individuals in safely processing their experiences, building emotional stability, and beginning a meaningful healing journey at a pace that feels right for them.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every person has the capacity to change, grow, and create a more meaningful life at any stage. No matter where you are in your journey, it is never too late to begin again. I view trauma as a wound, one that can feel overwhelming and deeply impactful, but also one that can heal with time, care, and the right support. In therapy, I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your experiences, better understand yourself, and build the tools needed to move forward. My goal is to walk alongside you as you heal, grow, and become the version of yourself you want to be.
