About My Clients
I work with individuals 16+ with a specialty in serving young adults. I am adept in tackling phase of life transitions, anxiety, substance misuse, and co-occurring disorders. I am able to see individuals, couples, and families.
My Background and Approach
I have a Masters in Counseling Psychology and have been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. My approach is meeting you where you are at and working together to ensure therapy is a beneficial space that improves your life. I am here to support your journey. My goal is to help you gain the control you deserve to have over your own life. I take a person-centered approach and work to incorporate your own values into the therapy space. When we begin work together, we can explore what will fit your needs and adapt the sessions to ensure you are getting the most out of our meetings. I like to use tools to help you learn how to regain control of your mental health and wellbeing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe mental health is at the forefront of our individual wellbeing. Reaching out and asking for help can be a BIG deal and I think this step should be met with praise, warmth, and safety. I consider myself to be an advocate for social justice and am passionate about helping people find their voice. I am an ally to the LGBTQ+ community and strongly believe animals provide emotional support. In my downtime, I volunteer as a therapist for the Red Cross providing Disaster Mental Health support and mental health workshops to military-involved individuals.
