About My Clients
I specialize in Queer, Poly, and Trans sex and relationship therapy. I also provide general mental health services to people who are looking for a therapist who just 'gets it.' If you are feeling like you are trapped behind glass, and can't quite break free, or you are shackled by expectations you don't fully understand, or are just tired of explaining your life to a therapist, I might be the right fit for you.
My Background and Approach
I like to utilize story telling, and investigate what troublesome life stories we are telling to ourselves that are getting in our own way. I utilize questioning (its not a test, I don't know the answer), humor (life is hard lets laugh), and collaboration to find the stories you want to be living, and the tools to help you get that life. I don't care how the worms got in the garden, I care about what effects the worms are having, and what we can do together to get rid them. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe all choices in life are valid, and you get to decide what is right for you. I think deep down we know what we want and how we want to be, but ideas of goodness, and properness, and pressure for society can get all tangled up till we are in a mixed up web and its hard to find the story we want to tell versus the stories society wants us to live. I want to help you find what right for you, and a way to live it authentically. I believe problems are separate from people, and causing influence over them. Just like how when you have a bacterial infection, you don't have to live with that bacteria forever and its not a part of you.
