About My Clients
Over the past two decades, I have worked with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, and stress. I also help clients adjust to major life changes, family-of-origin issues, and self-esteem development. My passion is working with maternal wellness; specifically, women experiencing infertility, postpartum depression/anxiety, and challenges in identity associated in becoming a parent.
My Background and Approach
I am an LCSW who graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in social welfare and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Nevada. I’ve been in the mental health field for over twenty years. Throughout the past two decades, I have worked with children and teenagers in the child welfare system, pregnant young women, and provided individual and family therapy at a community mental health organization. I have worked extensively with children and adults with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and trauma. I bring compassion and warmth to each individual that I work with and assist in building upon your strengths in order to live more authentically and with a greater sense of self-compassion. I use an integrated and person-centered approach that includes cognitive modalities, solution-focused therapy, family systems, and mindfulness techniques. Because everyone is unique, I always try to tailor my work to fit each individual.
