About My Clients
My ideal client is someone who already has some awareness that something is wrong, but is having trouble identifying what it is. I work well with individuals who need support regulating their emotions who also want to work through engrained patterns and beliefs. My sessions can be structured and skills-based, or open ended and exploratory. Clients who like art, poetry, or are open to creativity in session will love working with me!
My Background and Approach
I have extensive experience working at a DBT IOP program serving groups at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Behavior Health Center. I also have one year of experience working with individuals at Wellness Grove, a private practice in Canton, Ohio. Finally, I have experience leading art therapy groups for teens at CommQuest and The HELMS Foundation. I utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy as well as Feminist Therapy principles in my therapeutic approach. I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Ohio, an art therapist registered-provisional, and I am certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
