About My Clients

Are you a sensitive soul? Do you feel things deeply, often want to help those in need, and have an intuitive side? Do loud noises and big groups make you uncomfortable? It's possible you may be a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP). You are not alone! As an HSP myself, I get it. We are introverts and extroverts. Sometimes we may even feel misunderstood by others. (Of course, since there are only about 15-20% of us in the world!) Let's find balance with creativity- no art skills needed.

My Background and Approach

Art Therapy is the foundation of my work with clients but involves so much more when traveling on a road to recovery and healing. I have years of experience working with different approaches and believe one-size does not fit all. When we work together, I will help you gain comfort in using art materials to express yourself creatively. I often use a mix of Mindfulness techniques as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approaches. Other approaches may be using Internal Family Systems- which can help us explore the "stuck" parts of self and looking back in time to see if root causes can help. No two clients are alike, so I am devoted to helping you find what works best for your life. We will work together to to develop healthy coping skills, like for anxiety and depression. Sometimes life transitions (changes- good and bad) need some attention, so we will work together to get to the core of those as well. You deserve a happy and healthy life!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe every living thing deserves respect and kindness. I see ability when others see disability and carry a great deal of hope we can work together to find peace amidst any chaos. I embrace the idea that our mind is a powerful tool in the healing process, which can face resilience, even when it seems we have no more energy to carry us through. Having worked with veterans in crisis has been a tremendous acknowledgment of the incredible power each of us holds within ourselves. I also believe that authenticity is essential for supportive work together. That means we may laugh and we may cry together. If you want me to call you out on things - I'll be there for you. I will do my best to guide you through the ups and downs and try to knock those curve balls out of the park.
