About My Clients
My clients tend to be individuals and couples who are here to do the deep work. They want to dig down to find the root cause of their struggles. Clients who find this type of work meaningful often struggle with this things like trauma, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, stressful life changes and health issues. These individuals have an open mind in order to go beyond their comfort zones into whole-self healing.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach can best be described as holistic, client-centered, body-focused and systems-oriented. This type of therapy is useful for adults, teens, and couples healing with anxiety, stressful or shifting life transitions, trauma and PTSD, emotion regulation, behavior change, depression, grief/loss, relational challenges, and health issues. I utilize several techniques and therapeutic models, because everyone has a unique story. This includes emotion-focused talk therapy, mindfulness, and body awareness practices. With individuals I utilize the practice of CORE Energetics, where we go deep within the body to discover our emotional blockages and release those in order to find joy in our authentic selves.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I know that with the help of Nature, human beings have the innate ability to heal themselves and create their own life journey. My philosophy of therapy is based on the belief that the individual possesses the power to change and that it is my role to help that person become aware of how to understand and utilize their power and inherent ability. The mind-body connection is an amazing and supportive tool for growth in this process. We can cultivate the unconscious resources that already exist within you and empower your desired experience.
