About My Clients

My clients are emotionally intelligent individuals and couples who've often done "the work" and still feel stuck. They carry a lot, love deeply, and struggle to receive. Many are navigating relationship patterns, self-abandonment, or a quiet disconnection from who they really are. I work especially with Black women and queer folks seeking a therapist who understands the full weight of their world — and won't ask them to heal in isolation from it.

My Background and Approach

I'm a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with a decade of clinical experience and 7 years in solo private practice. My work sits at the intersection of emotionally focused therapy, attachment theory, somatic practice, and embodiment — drawing also from my VITA training certification, a rigorous training in body-based healing and conscious relating. What this means in practice: sessions are slow, spacious, and genuinely exploratory. I work beneath the surface — with the unconscious patterns, survival strategies, and relational wounds that were formed long before you had language for them. Clients often tell me they've never been asked the questions I ask. That something opens in our work that hasn't opened before. My goal is never symptom management. It's transformation — helping you move from reactive, wound-based living into a life built on self-trust, conscious choice, and the capacity to give and receive real love.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a Black, queer, femme therapist — and I bring all of who I am into this work. I believe healing is both personal and political. The wounds many of my clients carry didn't form in a vacuum; they formed inside systems — white supremacy, heteronormativity, patriarchy, and intergenerational patterns of survival — that have asked certain people to be small, strong, or invisible for far too long. I am committed to anti-oppressive practice, which means I will never ask you to adapt to systems that harm you. Instead, we work toward a life that is genuinely yours. I'm a fierce advocate for the full spectrum of relational expression — including non-monogamy, polyamory, and relationship anarchy. I have also led retreats centered on embodiment, essence, and the reclamation of aliveness for women who have spent too long living for everyone else. This work is sacred to me. I don't take lightly the trust it requires to let someone into your interio
