About My Clients
As a licensed psychologist with 11+ years of clinical training and experience, I have had the great fortune of supporting individuals from all walks of life who are working to make peace with their past, to connect with their present, and to build hope about their future. I work with adults of all backgrounds and orientations.
My Background and Approach
I strive to provide tailored support for my clients as they address issues like anxiety, depression, addiction, past trauma, communication issues, anger management, symptoms of serious mental illness, adjustment and decision-making issues, and relationship problems. Using an individualized, nonjudgmental approach, I will work with you collaboratively on building support, creating healthy independence, developing self-compassion and self-acceptance, clarifying values, and identifying goals for improving coping, fulfillment, and self-concept.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I always tell my clients that if I didn't believe people could change, I wouldn't be in this field. I believe that our past experiences (good or bad) can add value to how we live today, but only if we allow for it. I believe that leaning into our discomfort is necessary for growth, and this is the only way we can truly understand that our emotions cannot harm us but our efforts to avoid those emotions can cause unnecessary suffering. I believe that you and I are both experts in our work together. I believe that learning to be compassionate with ourselves makes it easier to be compassionate toward others, and vice versa. I believe in you.
