I understand whole-heartedly the challenges that women face when experiencing infertility, pregnancy, grief/loss, trauma and postpartum depression or anxiety. Women often feel overwhelmed by the transition to parenthood, adjusting to new roles, relationship changes and struggles, major career decisions, caring for a baby and parenting young children. I’ve dedicated my career to helping families thrive, grow and heal and we will work together to help you feel better.
My Background and Approach
As women, we often put the needs of others before our own, and this can cause us to feel stressed and anxious. As a professional and a mother, I am here to help you through this challenging time. I will provide you with a comfortable safe space to share your feelings and to and to take care of yourself so you can heal and be there for your loved ones. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with specialized training in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders and 20 years experience. I completed my undergraduate education at the University of Illinois and graduated with a Master’s degree from Northwestern University in 2002. My services are inclusive, welcoming all races, cultures, faiths, sexual orientations and family configurations. I have extensive experience working with anxiety, PTSD & trauma as well as mindfulness and CBT techniques. I was trained from a a social justice/culturally informed perspective and also have specific training and experience with LGBTQIA+.
