My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health (LPCMH) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) based in Newark, Delaware. My clinical experience spans the Department of Veterans Affairs and private practice, where I have worked with individuals navigating a wide range of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, PTSD, complex trauma, and phobias. My approach is rooted in person-centered, humanistic care — meaning sessions are tailored to you, your goals, and your pace. I draw from evidence-based methods including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Prolonged Exposure (PE). Before becoming a therapist I gained real-world experience in high-stress environments that gave me a deep understanding of resilience, stress, and what it means to ask for help. That perspective informs how I show up for every client.
