My Background and Approach
My approach is grounded in collaboration, empowerment, and individualized care. I believe that clients are active participants in their treatment, and I prioritize creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where adults feel heard and understood. I work closely with each client to ensure they understand their treatment options, the purpose and potential effects of medications, and strategies to improve overall mental wellness. My goal is to provide practical guidance and evidence-based care that supports long-term stability and functional improvement. Many of my clients benefit from medication management to stabilize mood, improve daily functioning, and support engagement in therapy or life goals. I focus on helping clients manage symptoms effectively while also building skills in coping, emotional regulation, stress management, and self-care.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every adult has the capacity for growth, healing, and resilience, even in the face of complex mental health challenges. Mental health care is most effective when it is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized, and I strive to create a safe space where clients feel heard, respected, and understood. I believe in empowering clients to actively participate in their treatment, fostering insight, self-efficacy, and skills that support long-term wellness. Medications are an important tool when indicated, but I view them as part of a broader, holistic approach that considers each individual’s life circumstances, goals, and strengths. I also believe that accessibility matters. Everyone deserves equitable mental health care, and I am committed to reducing barriers by offering flexible telehealth options and accepting a range of payment methods, including Medicaid.
