About My Clients
I have experience with clients from all over the world and those that speak different languages than me. I have a translation service available if needed for almost any language that a person can speak. I do have some Spanish understanding as well and can understand well verbally/written. I work with a client centered approach to help clients with trauma and grief. The clients are the experts in their lives and I am here to help guide. It is my honor to be invited into this space.
My Background and Approach
I use a client centered approach that is trauma-informed. I am inclusive to all walks of life and have worked with trans clients as well. I use solution-focused, brief-therapy and many other modalities in an eclectic mix to help clients meet their therapy goals. I specialize also in grief counseling as well as chronic illness support.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in advocating for social justice and empowering people especially people that have been marginalized in our society. I'm inclusive and sensitive to all social justice movements that seek to relieve oppression in our society. I am an animal lover as well and very much loved my cat of 22 years that died a year ago. I am passionate about pregnancy and infant loss support and have be active in supporting of those groups for at least 15 years. I am an Associated Licensed Counselor under the supervision of: Mrs. Kimyatta Fails, M.Ed, LPC-S, LPCC, LMHC NCC, CAC, MAC
