About My Clients
I work with LGBTQ+ clients, clients from the Black and broader BIPOC community, and adults from all backgrounds navigating identity, trauma, life transitions, anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns. My practice holds space for intersectional identity — Black and queer, in transition, still figuring it out. Clients who want a therapist who celebrates who they are rather than tolerates them will feel at home in my practice.
My Background and Approach
I hold a Master of Social Work from Simmons University, a Bachelor's in Human Services from Northeastern University, and an Associate's in Human Services Management. My approach blends Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Affirmative Therapy. Sessions integrate mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of wellbeing — because most of my clients don't separate those in their lives. My practice is explicitly affirming and warm, with the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for real work.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe identity-affirming care is not an add-on — it is the foundation. As a Black, LGBTQ+-affirming therapist, I am committed to celebrating clients, not tolerating them. I integrate mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions into my work because clients' lives don't separate neatly into categories. I support the LGBTQ+ community, racial justice work, and expanded access to culturally affirming mental health care.
