About My Clients

Are you constantly finding yourself unable to move forward freely in life because of hurt, pain, and trauma in your past? Do you often feel responsible for others and try to people please in hopes that others will see your worth? Does life often seem overwhelming for you and you experience the feelings of stress, depression, anxiety and panic within your body? If you answered yes, to any of these questions then it would be an honor to help you learn ways of effectively taking back your power!

My Background and Approach

The therapeutic approach I am closely aligned with consists of both traditional and alternative forms of therapy. Traditional talk therapy allows for the processing cognitively of the story. It is when you deepen into your body and are able to locate where that feeling, emotion or thought lies and what sensations it creates in your life. The processing of releasing the somatic symptom while cognitively reframing the brain allows for the release to happen and the opportunity to restructure into safety in the here and now. I will teach you various techniques that are simple and effective during times of distress and to reclaim a life well deserved of peace, strength, and resiliency.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that everyone has the innate ability to heal and grow from hurt, pain, and trauma they have experienced in the past. We as people truly just want to feel heard, acknowledged, understood and treated fairly. When those core needs go unmet, we often internalize these feelings and carry the pain within, or we externalize these feelings in which we deny the opportunity for love and affection to happen in our lives. Whether or not you an internalizer or externalizer, both are forms of self-protection from the pain. However, through acknowledgment, releasing, reframing the negative event from your mind and body will create space for health and healing to enter. I support social justice coalitions, victims of Intimate Partner Violence LGBTQ community.
