About My Clients
Dr. Kushnir's vast clinical experience stretches across the lifespan, culture, and socioeconomic status involving the evaluation and treatment of severe psychopathology. In the past decade, Dr. Kushnir has conducted psychological evaluations while also provided psychotherapeutic counseling services whether in luxurious rehabilitation centers, forensic hospitals, or prisons throughout the state of Florida. Diagnoses treated include Autism, Schizophrenia, Mood, PTSD and Substance Abuse.
My Background and Approach
With a specialization in comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological evaluations, Dr. Kushnir completed his pre-doctoral internship doing competency evaluations for the courts at the South Florida Evaluation & Treatment Center. Thereafter, during his post-doctoral residency, Dr. Kushnir conducted comprehensive HCR-20 Risk Assessments at the Wakulla Correctional Institution in North Florida. Dr. Kushnir currently conducts HCR-20 Risk Assessments, Sex Offender Screeners, while also providing psychotherapy and other psychological services for the Florida Department of Corrections.

Patience, acceptance, validation, forgiveness, compassion, and personal empowerment are key elements that facilitate our personal growth across our lifespan and human experience. A true and solid belief in one self, in one's strengths , gifts, and talents is fundamental to a healthy relationship with all the other elements of the universe. I can help you identify those resistances and defenses, while simultaneously help you dismantle debilitating beliefs and perceptions that delay you from your right to happiness and fulfillment.
