About My Clients

Are you feeling drained by anxiety? Overwhelmed by stress or strong emotions? Weighed down by depression or feelings of unworthiness? Are you tired of carrying these burdens alone? You don't have to. I understand what it is to struggle with feelings of self-judgment, of inadequacy, of never being quite good enough. Creating a safe, warm, affirming space, I help individuals move from self-criticism to self-support by teaching the transformative tools of mindfulness and self-compassion.

My Background and Approach

My goal is to provide you with the insight and tools to transform your relationship with your challenges and with yourself. I treat anxiety, anger management, depression, self-esteem challenges and stress using evidence-based mindfulness and self-compassion approaches. Many of us spend our lives trying to "fix" ourselves. Maybe you can relate? You may have tried this yourself, perhaps many times. We end up feeling invalidated and somehow "wrong." My approach is different: We work to fundamentally change your relationship with difficult thoughts and feelings. By developing self-kindness and non-judgmental awareness, you will build the inner resources needed to manage difficult emotions and respond to life's stressors with greater stability and less reactivity.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that many of our life challenges stem from an inability to take care of ourselves in an appropriate, caring way. Often the underlying problem is habitual self-rejection. When self-rejection is the problem, self-kindness is key! When we can't take care of ourselves appropriately, we begin to struggle...with anxiety, with depression, with stress, and with managing strong emotions. I learned this lesson through the "school of hard knocks," which led me to explore mindfulness and mindful self-compassion approaches. I have dedicated my life to exploring ways to help others to end self-rejection and begin to develop a kind, supportive relationship with themselves. I have seen clients change their lives and grow a greater sense of ease using this approach.
