About My Clients
I specialize in helping children who experience emotional dysregulation, anxiety, ADHD, meltdowns, school behavior concerns, and difficulty managing frustration. Through play-based therapy, children learn the emotional and nervous-system skills needed to handle big feelings more successfully. At the same time, parents gain practical strategies that reduce power struggles and create calmer, more connected family routines.
My Background and Approach
My work is grounded in Synergetic Play Therapy, which helps children develop emotional regulation through safe, attuned play experiences. Instead of focusing only on behavior, we work to understand what is happening underneath the reactions so children can build confidence managing frustration, anxiety, and strong emotions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe children’s behavior is communication. Big emotions, meltdowns, and challenging behaviors often mean a child’s nervous system is overwhelmed and they don’t yet have the skills to express what they feel. I believe connection is the foundation for change. When children feel safe and understood, their brains and bodies can begin to calm, organize, and grow. Because play is a child’s natural language, play therapy allows them to express experiences and emotions that are hard to put into words. I believe parents are essential partners in the process. When caregivers understand what is happening inside their child’s brain and body, they can respond with confidence and compassion, creating calmer homes and stronger relationships.
