About My Clients
I enjoy working with adults with a wide range of problems such as depression, anxiety, chronic illness/pain, family dysfunctions, suicidal ideation, low self-esteem, poor social and coping skills, and trauma and related issues.
My Background and Approach
In 2011, I graduated from Missouri State University with a Masters Degree in Social Work. As a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), I had worked in a variety of ways including both inpatient and outpatient settings. I primarily work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, stress and trauma. Prior to pursuing my own private practice, I worked for an inpatient psychiatric and behavioral hospital helping many children, adolescents and families work through trauma, emotional distress, behavioral modification, and family dysfunctions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I understand how difficult it can be to take the first step to seeing a counselor. I am here to take the stigma away and help you to feel comfortable with navigating through your life struggles through talk therapy. Telehealth provides the option for you to be in the safety and comfort of your own private space. No time wasted for traveling and scheduling is easy. I offer a holistic approach with a foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness practice. I am also trained in EMDR.
