About My Clients

Are you an adult child of immigrants who struggles with setting boundaries with your parents, family, friends, and/or partner? Maybe you're used to being the fixer, caregiver, co-parent, and all around problem solver for your family. Does the idea of saying "no" make you feel shameful? Perhaps you've never really put yourself first because the idea of choosing yourself over others is unthinkable. Do you feel a constant battle between your head and your heart? I'm here to help.

My Background and Approach

I treat clients struggling with issues pertaining to: identity, cultural assimilation, religious trauma, differentiating from family, living authentically, coming out, spirituality, codependency, setting boundaries, and cultivating healthy relationships. My approach is a mix of western and eastern practices. I believe in holistic healing and I incorporate elements of EMDR, somatic practices, mindfulness, CBT, and trauma-informed talk therapy in my practice. My hope is to guide you in undoing decades of faulty programming and wiring in the brain that were formed out of survival, and instead teach you positive coping skills and new modes of thinking because although you can’t change people and situations, you can change the way you see and understand them. My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe and nonjudgemental space to vent, process, and unpack trauma and heal old wounds so that you can unlock your fullest potential and live your best life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My number one desire in life is for it to be fair and inclusive for all human beings. I am an active ally of the LGBTQ community and Black Lives Matter movement. I support any cause aiming to decolonize and eradicate racism, homophobia, and transphobia. In addition, I grew up in a very religious household and struggled with identifying my own spiritual beliefs. I played around with agnosticism for a bit but currently my spiritual belief system is comprised of concepts from Christianity, Buddhism, and Hinduism.
