About My Clients
Does your child worry often, struggle with peers, or can't seem to stay focused? I specialize in helping children, adolescents, parents, and families who are struggling with anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, behavior challenges, executive functioning, and school-related issues to feel empowered and thrive. I also specialize in supporting clients with issues regarding Asian American mental health, diversity, culture, and identity.
My Background and Approach
Being dually licensed as a psychologist and nationally certified school psychologist, I am unique in my deep knowledge of and experience in bridging connections between mental health challenges and educational obstacles, drawing from my doctorate training and experience in education. For 17 years, I have honed my skills in providing children, adolescents, adults, and parents with the tools and strategies they need to effectively navigate school challenges, strengthen relationships, and develop resilience. I believe that therapy should be tailored to the needs of each client, so I use a strength-based, culturally-sensitive integrative approach that draws from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), humanistic therapy, play therapy, mindfulness, and SPACE. Through the Authority to Practice Jurisdictional Telepsychology, under PSYPACT, I offer telehealth to clients in MD and 42 other states, ensuring continuity of care.
