About My Clients
I specialize in treating mood disorders as well as working with clients who struggle with environmental stressors (relationships, jobs, racial tensions, crisis of faith, etc).
My Background and Approach
I hold a Master’s of Science in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University and am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW). My approach to therapy and life is to be realistic while also being aspirational. I don't believe in quick fixes; growth and change take time, can be difficult to navigate but ultimately you can get to where you want to be. I use therapeutic methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma Focused CBT, as well as customizing methods based on the clients individual needs. I feel that a key component of working with clients is creating an atmosphere of comfort. Therapy can be uncomfortable, so building a therapeutic alliance, I find, helps to further progress by creating a space where people feel open to being vulnerable.
