About My Clients
Sharaya Collins, MSc, LPC, NCC, is the founder and owner of Excelsior Career & Counseling Services, a telehealth-based clinical counseling organization for professional development and mental health. We specialize in the treatment of anger management, depression, anxiety, trauma, boundaries, family and relationship issues, women's issues, life transitions, and career counseling.
My Background and Approach
She holds a bachelor's degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College and a master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. She is also a board-certified national counselor (NBCC) and career services provider via NCDA. She has several years of clinical counseling experience in various settings/populations ranging from intensive outpatient, hospital-based services, group and private practice as well as startup organizations. She has worked with teenagers, young and older adults, couples, families, and the elder community. Although we use a plethora of therapy models, we've found that person-centered techniques such as unconditional positive regard, empathy, non-directiveness, and reflective of feelings work best for some. As a telehealth-based, M/WBE, and LBE-certified and owned practice, we offer a HIPAA-compliant, safe, and secure space for clients to receive the care they need and deserve.
