About My Clients
Feeling overwhelmed with adjusting to change, or frustrated due to external pressure and expectations? Struggling to find ways to achieve balance and confidence in yourself and your abilities to live the life you want? Here at Thyme & Co. Counseling, I support creative individuals and families through various life transitions, relationship issues and traumas that may cause emotional distress and anxiety.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed mental health counselor, specializing in integrative mental health counseling and culinary therapy. I use a combination of cognitive therapies with nutritional, culinary, and mind/body therapies to support my clients in understanding their mental health, relationships and quality of life. Using these modalities, I focus on supporting my clients in: - participating in trauma-focused, collaborative therapy - building and nourishing healthy relationships with theirselves and others - learning coping skills to support grounding of self and connection to multicultural and complex identities. - improving their sense of identity and direction with confidence and higher self-esteem. & - maintaining their motivation towards holistic wellness & self-satisfaction.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Life sure knows how to test and challenge our abilities, and sometimes we find ourselves feeling lost or disconnected. As a relational therapist, I believe that healing happens best when we feel seen, heard, and understood. Together, we will build a safe and comfortable space where you can be yourself, without judgement. We'll dig into what's going on, not just in your head, but also how it shows up in your body and your relationships. We'll explore those intense emotions, family dynamics, and complex feelings you're struggling to understand and communicate. Processing in therapy isn't only verbal, so I enjoy using activities, like cooking and mindful movement, to help you feel grounded and find some real relief. I can use all the fancy clinical terms, but what's most important is helping you find your way back to yourself and the connections that matter most - with quality time and good company.
