About My Clients

Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with many types of clients, including those with complex trauma histories, high-functioning individuals, those trying therapy for the first time, as well as other mental health providers. While I have expertise in working with racially minoritized communities, I strive to support all of my clients in addressing depression, anxiety, stress, relationship/family issues, past or present trauma, and in navigating challenging life transitions.

My Background and Approach

With extensive experience in supporting individuals exposed to trauma, I'm trained in a variety of evidence-informed modalities to help clients achieve their goals (e.g., CBT, KRTT, & EMDR--EMDRIA-trained and currently in consultation). I recognize that each client's lived experience is unique. So, I adapt my approach to best meet their specific needs. My primary aim is to offer a pathway to healing and growth. To that end, I work with my clients to establish an authentic relationship, while providing a safe and supportive environment to address life's challenges. If you are seeking a welcoming and supportive space to address your mental and emotional needs, I am here to help.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that many of the mental health challenges we face stem from unresolved pain caused by unjust systems, unforeseeable life circumstances, and the actions of others, big or small. In today's world, it often feels like compassion is in short supply, but I am dedicated to being part of the solution by creating pathways for healing, especially for those who often have the hardest time accessing it. I have seen, both personally and professionally, the impact of therapy--it's ability to transform individuals, relationships, and families. With this in mind, I'm passionate about working within racially marginalized communities to help people unlock this transformative power, while also normalizing mental health and wellness within communities where stigma often looms the largest. I firmly believe that everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances, deserves the opportunity to be fully seen.
