About My Clients
If you are struggling with your identity or feeling stuck—counseling can help you rediscover yourself, your relationships, and purpose in life. Shannon’s passion has always been to connect with clients in a way that is genuine, meaningful, and ultimately helpful in supporting the growth and management of all that is—life. Clients have a wide range of diagnoses and challenges. And, Shannon works with each client to find creative coping skills & solutions to give clients the best quality of life!
My Background and Approach
Shannon believes there is no way to predict what life throws our way, but how we choose to respond and navigate, determines the quality of life we get to live. She approaches each client with compassion, dignity, and respect. Clients experience an inclusive, shame-free space to explore and express who they are when working with Shannon. Shannon integrates different treatment modalities to tailor treatment to each client, including; EMDR, Creative Arts, CBT, Solution Focused Therapy, Career Counseling, Gottman Method, & more. She started her counseling career in an agency setting working with adults with severe psychiatric illness, a humbling experience that has prepared Shannon well to treat a wide range of mental health issues using trauma informed care and health support families in coping with loved ones that suffer from mental illness and cooccurring disorders. However, Shannon prioritizes person over diagnosis because she knows clients are so much more than any label.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
It takes courage to be human. I admire clients for their bravery and trust in the therapeutic process. I am grateful and inspired by my clients every day. It takes a “village” in this life. I welcome the opportunity to support others as best I can.
