About My Clients
I’m a psychotherapist who specializes in working with people who are skeptical of therapy—that skepticism makes sense. With hundreds of different therapy approaches, finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming, confusing, and discouraging. Through my experience as a psychologist, a client, and an educator who trains therapists, I’ve learned that the most important factor in therapy isn’t always the method—it’s the quality of the relationship you have with your therapist.
My Background and Approach
My approach is grounded in the belief that psychological change rarely happens in a linear, clean fashion. The more we can lean into the messiness of ourselves and our lives, the more we grow our capacity for change. And as our capacity for change grows, so does our capacity for joy. Because so much of our lives—the painful, the meaningful, and everything in between—unfolds through relationships, I believe that a strong, trustworthy therapy relationship is a starting foundation for that growth. During sessions, I bring a curious, humorous, and compassionate approach to help clients understand and shift patterns of thinking, feeling, and relating. Exploring these aspects of oneself can contribute to better self-understanding and addressing symptoms, distress, and disconnection. I am PSYPACT-authorized and hold APIT authorization, allowing me to provide teletherapy services across participating states - found here: https://psypact.gov/page/psypactmap
