About My Clients
I'm Shannon Runk; LCSW-C, PMH-C. I am a certified perinatal mental health therapist specializing in working with adults experiencing feelings of sadness and overwhelm, inadequacy and powerlessness, stress, irritability, and rage during the perinatal period. In addition to my work with women, I gladly work with dads and partners, and am LGBTQIA allied. My background in infant mental health and early childhood development helps me support parents in navigating all that parenthood brings.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In a world of insta-worthy gender reveals, promises of a glowing pregnancy, and flawless newborn photo shoots, it's easy to feel like you're the only one struggling. You are NOT alone. At least 1 in 5 women in the US experience emotional or psychological distress during the perinatal period (which lasts from trying to conceive to one year postpartum, and beyond!)
