About My Clients

Do you struggle with imposter syndrome? Do you often find yourself comparing yourself to others around you? Do you worry that your thoughts or experiences are "abnormal" or shameful? So many of my clients come to therapy with these same fears and insecurities. I am no stranger to these very emotions myself! While I know it may seem easier to bottle these feelings up, tuck them away, and pretend they're not there, I also know that you can learn to release them, and I am honored to help.

My Background and Approach

I approach therapy from a trauma-informed background. The most critical component of the work I do with my clients is our therapeutic relationship. I make our relationship the priority. I want to ensure you feel safe enough to be open about any topic you want to discuss. Through our relationship, I encourage my clients to explore the parts of themselves that may make them feel anxious, depressed, insecure, or shameful. Through my experience, I have learned that while each person's life is as unique as their fingerprint, they are also not alone. I want to help my clients address any negative self-beliefs, cognitive distortions, and build self-esteem and resiliency. Through a person-centered approach, I want to companion my clients through their journey towards healing. Let's work as a team to challenge learned beliefs and create a new, more healthy and balanced belief system.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that therapy is a safe space for individuals to explore their true authentic selves without fear of judgment or reprisal. When we are provided that space, we truly have the capacity to learn about ourselves in a way that may not be possible in other settings. Here, you can learn to release the weight you may be carrying. I am happy to help carry that weight. I believe that all groups deserve to be treated with respect and openness. I believe the therapeutic relationship is critical to growth and healing. I am honored to provide that to the clients I serve. I have done my own work in therapy, and I know how intimidating and overwhelming that first step can be (even as a psychologist!). I believe in using humor when appropriate, as well as giving my clients the space to feel whatever they need to feel with me.
