About My Clients

I assist young professionals create change in their lives and build relationship with themselves in a different way than before in order to better understand why we are the way we are. My clients often feel “stuck”, struggle to find a purpose in life, feel stressed, have a hard time saying “no” to others, feel like they can’t ever turn their brains off, and sometimes have a hard time expressing to others how they feel.

My Background and Approach

I find it helpful to use mindfulness, meditation, deep muscle relaxation, and yoga in my personal life, and I aim to work with my clients to learn more about their own internal maps so they can find what works best for them. My approach is informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS) and trauma/attachment research. All is considered through a strength-based lens - with goals of increasing connection to all aspects of ourselves, heightening self-awareness and ones understanding of how our bodies carry the past, current and future happenings of our lives. I am well-versed in evidenced based treatment models that address presenting problems such as depression, anxiety, effects of traumatic experience, stress, and family and relationship issues. Through the counseling process with me, you can start to feel more connected, capable of dealing with the challenges of adulthood, and empowered to make decisions and follow through on plans that reflect your renewed sense of self and purpose.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I BELIEVE…that everyones story and life experiences are unique, special, and vary greatly. Some of the commonalities within our stories though is that the one constant in life is change, and that we all want to feel safe. I know that transitions can be difficult and that not everyone is privileged enough to feel safe within their bodies and in their communities. I personally and professionally dedicate a lot of my life to breaking down these barriers and stigmas and creating a safer space for people to live and heal. I AM TRAINED...to help you become more aware of your emotional responses to the challenges life brings and help you recognize problematic relational patterns and new ways to approach difficult scenarios. This awareness will create new opportunities for learning and more adaptive ways of relating to others and coping with life’s stressors.
