Person-centered therapy facilitates self-discovery, self-growth and self-acceptance. Everyone is different with different experiences, so I tailor each session to the needs of my clients. My goal is to listen empathetically and nonjudgmentally while I encourage you to make decisions and choices that lead to positive change.
Mindfulness-based therapy can be used to treat a wide range of symptoms and concerns, such as depression, anxiety, chronic pain, panic attacks, PTSD, and more. Mindfulness aims at focusing attention to the present moment in a way that is non-judgmental of our thoughts and feelings.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is the gold-standard treatment for many mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, interpersonal issues, and many more. CBT emphasizes how our cognitions (thoughts) and behaviors play a huge role in how we feel. We will work together to identify faulty ways of thinking, gain a better understanding of your behaviors, use problem-solving to learn how to cope with difficult situations, and learn how to develop a greater sense of confidence in your skills.
Adjustment disorder is an emotional, physical, and/or behavioral reaction to a change in a person's life. This is incredibly prevalent during the COVID-19 pandemic. Adjustment disorder often feels like depression and/or anxiety. Let's work together to come up with strategies and skills to help cope with the negative feelings associated with adjustment disorder.
Personal growth is a process that we all go through throughout the entire course of our lives. "Change is the only constant." Change is wonderful: it can promote happiness, resilience, strength, and opportunities.
Loss can be deeply challenging to cope with. Grief comes in many forms: death, breakups, transitions, etc. There is no timetable for grieving the loss of someone or something. I'd love to help you navigate how you experience grief and loss.
