About My Clients
I have experience working with individuals struggling with substance use, stress, relationship issues, grief, anxiety, and depression. I have also worked closely with members of the LGBTQIA+ population and those that have experienced abuse and trauma. Determining positive coping strategies and emotional support are key focuses of my work with clients. I believe in meeting clients where they are at and supporting them in creating realistic, attainable goals for themselves.
My Background and Approach
I believe that we are all capable of making changes to support our overall well-being. Seeking a therapist is a great first step in that journey. My therapy approach is warm and engaging. I follow a client-centered approach and have supported individuals in reducing their anxiety and depression, strengthening their relationships, and increasing their self-esteem. I consider myself an eclectic therapist, utilizing different approaches and modalities that fit the client’s needs. I regularly utilize elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. I believe the counseling relationship provides clients with a safe space to discuss and process their feelings while identifying areas of strength.
