About My Clients
You look like you have it together, but inside, you feel overwhelmed, anxious, or constantly on edge. Maybe you struggle with overthinking, people-pleasing, or perfectionism. You're left feeling exhausted from holding it all together. Often, it comes from childhood emotional abuse or neglect, high-pressure environments, or relationships where they had to stay small or in control to feel safe. Over time, this can show up as anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and patterns that are hard to change.
My Background and Approach
In therapy, we work to understand your patterns and help your nervous system shift out of survival mode. I use approaches like EMDR therapy and IFS (parts work) to help process what's been stuck. Especially if you've tried talk therapy before but still get triggered and overwhelmed. If you're stuck in anxiety, perfectionism, or people-pleasing, and want deeper, lasting change (not just coping strategies), this work is a good fit for you. I can help you feel more grounded, less reactive, and more like yourself.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that you have the wisdom within you to find the healing you desire, and my job is to help you find that. I have strong values in social justice that guide my perspective on primary, secondary, and generational trauma. I recognize the effect that racism, homophobia, ableism, transphobia, colonialism, capitalism and more have had on our lives both directly and indirectly. As a therapist, I also recognize the role that the mental health system has played on perpetuating oppression and stigmatization, and I make every effort to dismantle those ideals.
