About My Clients
My work with couples and families, the therapy is relational — building empathy, emotional connection and rebuilding trust and boundaries. I draw from the work of Virginia Satir and Sue Johnson which focuses primarily on emotional connection, empathetic communication, and authentic self-expression. We are all unique people and being able to appreciate and honor that in one another is an important step toward peaceful living.
My Background and Approach
I see clients from all walks of life. In individual work, I am especially honored to work with girls, young women, and mothers who are struggling to make sense of their identities, are suffering from perfectionism, or have not processed painful events such as their birth stories, abuse, or neglect. I also work with individuals who feel they have been unable to launch or are on the autistic spectrum. I offer you space and tools for self-growth and discovery.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
To me, life is the best when we are in the flow of own purpose and creativity with a sense of joy and excitement. I bring a down to earth, curious, and positive energy to therapy. I explore the way that you feel in your human experience. That said, I may use some antiquated language from time to time as I love old novels!
