My Background and Approach
I am a queer, Asian American woman living with a chronic health condition in a world shaped by many systems that create barriers for people like me. My mission is to challenge those systems and empower my clients to do so as well by helping them discover their individual needs and find meaning along the way. I believe healing is not linear, and I support my clients in finding comfort within discomfort by exploring creative approaches that align with their unique needs. I aim to bring my diverse background in nonprofit museums and education to my practice, integrating creative and science-backed perspectives. My approach to therapy is collaborative, relational, playful, and emphasizes the present moment, always through a multicultural, feminist, and queer-affirmative lens.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I enjoy being in nature, tending to my carnivorous plants, visiting museums, and learning fun facts about dinosaurs and ancient marine reptiles. You will find me in colorful, loudly patterned, or maximalist fashion as it reminds me to approach life with more whimsy and to take care of the child in me. My natural habitat is my couch where I can cozy up with my two dogs and watch reality TV shows.
