About My Clients
Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, or healing past hurt? Are you wanting to understand more where that hurt comes from? I can help you get to the core of these and find answers to making your life the best it can be. I am passionate about work in trauma, attachment, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and deepening the understanding of the self. I find that a strong therapeutic connection is the best approach to fostering growth and success.
My Background and Approach
Together we will build an understanding of your present feelings, your lived experience, and how these things connect. By building an empathic and non-judgmental concept of you, we will empower you to make changes that build a more fulfilled life. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and trained psychoanalytic therapist. My approach is trauma informed, attachment based, and relational at its core. I received my Master of Social Work from St. Catherine University/University of St. Thomas, and completed psychoanalytic training at the Minnesota Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we all have the capacity for growth and healing. With a better understanding of where we have been, who we are, and where we want to go, any change can become possible. I believe in social justice, anti-hate, and inclusivity of all kinds. By mutual respect, acceptance, and understanding, we build a better community in which everyone is able to thrive. In my free time, I enjoy biking, kayaking, bowling, reading, the fantasy genre, playing with my cat, and hopelessly cheering for my beloved Minnesota Timberwolves.
