About My Clients
It has been said that people only change once they have to. The "have to" could mean emotional suffering that is no longer bearable, the loss of a meaningful relationship, or feeling fed up with your current circumstances. Whatever your "have to" is, I'm ready to listen. Together, we'll prioritize your goals and create a plan to get you where you want to be.
My Background and Approach
I work with clients utilizing a neurodivergent-affirming and trauma-informed approach. The goal is not to "fix" you or your child but to collaborate to identify and leverage strengths while focusing on practical tools and techniques to minimize pain points personally, professionally, and academically. As a counselor, empathy, patience, and my understanding of human development are the core of all my therapy sessions. I strive to bring a down-to-earth sensibility, genuineness, and sense of humor into the therapeutic relationship. I strongly believe in the client being the expert and that my role is to provide encouragement, support, and a safe space to work through life's questions and challenges. I enjoy using an integrative approach to therapy based on my client's needs which includes techniques and interventions such as expressive arts, sandtray, mindfullness, and more.
