About My Clients
My clients come in talking about their partner, their marriage, their mother. They leave talking about themselves — their values, their needs, their voice — and the difference is profound. The goal isn't to end your relationship or save it. It's for you to become someone who can make that choice from a place of clarity and wholeness, not fear and exhaustion. You've been the strong one long enough. It's time to be seen and honored for who you are.
My Background and Approach
In addition to my Master's degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology, I have training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, attachment theory, marital therapy, and complex relational trauma. I understand psychological development and how our relational environments in childhood shape our perceptions, sense of security, and our conditioned reactions to stress and trauma. By working at the intersection of family systems, relational trauma, and core identity development — going beyond the surface of what brought you to therapy into the deeper patterns of your life and relationships — I help women develop a self that feels truly authentic. Together, we will create space for you to listen to yourself, the signals your body is sending you, and the inner wisdom that can guide you when you feel lost in the narrative. You will develop skills to master your emotions, take a stand, and build a life you don't need to escape from.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
At their best, family systems support and facilitate the self-actualization of the individuals who comprise them. I believe that all people are doing the best they can within the capacity and understanding they currently have. When children do not receive the nurture and support they need growing up, they must continue their development on their own as adults. This is where therapy comes in. A person who is motivated can significantly change their life and circumstances through courageous commitment to learning and growth. The flip side of the coin is self-acceptance: we do not all start from the same starting point in life; it is unfair to expect perfection of ourselves, or even compare ourselves to others. Finally, though life will never be easy or fair, it can be embraced, loved, and enjoyed despite inevitable suffering. If you want to learn how to build a life you love, and learn to love the life you have, I'm here to help.
