About My Clients
I am passionate about providing therapy and support to families struggling with daily life stressors. I enjoy working with children and adolescents and feel I have what it takes to help them overcome challenges . I also work with women before, during and after pregnancy. Being a mother, wife, daughter, and sister, I can relate to my clients and get them to a healthier state of mind.
My Background and Approach
My area of focus has been child development, maternal mental health, and college students. I have a strong passion for helping children, teens, and their families work through various challenges related to academic, emotional, behavioral, and developmental issues. I have a deep connection and compassion for mothers who are facing the challenges of pregnancy, motherhood, infertility, and miscarriages/child loss. As a college professor, I have the ability to understand the daily struggles of students and therefore work well with college/university students who need support as they navigate the different challenges college life brings.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We are all unique individuals with diverse cultures, beliefs, and ways of life. Having traveled and lived in different countries, I have a passion for diversity and honor the traditions and religions from around the world. I am trained in various modalities and strongly believe in holistic counseling with an emphasis on mind-body connection. To Western psychotherapy techniques, I incorporate Eastern philosophies of meditation and yoga to help my clients begin to heal and learn to live healthier, happier, and balanced lives.
