About My Clients
You've been faithful, shown up, and done everything "right," but life still feels impossibly hard. Maybe you're leading at church or work while privately falling apart. Maybe chronic pain or illness has you questioning God's goodness and your own worth. Maybe you're tired of pretending you're okay when you're not. Many of my clients are BIPOC women professionals, caregivers, and ministry leaders who hold space for everyone else but don't know where to put their own pain.
My Background and Approach
Therapy with me is a place to take the mask off. We'll name what hurts, make room for your fears and doubts, and address the patterns keeping you stuck. I integrate Christian faith with evidence-based trauma treatment—specifically EMDR and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)—to help you process medical trauma, reduce emotional distress, and reconnect with what matters most to you. We'll also explore the spiritual layers of suffering: disappointment with God, anger, shame, fear of judgment, and the pressure to perform faith perfectly. I believe healing is possible even when your faith feels fragile.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I've been a licensed therapist for over 13 years with specialized training in faith-affirming and evidence-based care. I am trained in EMDR, chronic pain, and medical trauma. I understand what it's like to navigate the healthcare system while holding onto faith through suffering due to my lived experience with endometriosis. And because of this, I believe we can cultivate joy even while suffering. I'm also LGBTQ+ affirming and welcome clients across the spectrum of faith; whether you're deeply rooted in your Christian practice or questioning everything.
