About My Clients
Traumatic events can rearrange our lives and take a huge toll our mood, energy, sleep, self-esteem, and relationships. Anxiety and worry can make our world feel small and limit our ability to fully show up to our lives. These problems may also be tied to identity-related stress, such as discrimination, marginalization, or repeated exposure to macro- and micro-aggressions. If any of these experiences resonate with you, we may be a good fit!
My Background and Approach
Drawing from various evidence-based approaches, including CBT, ACT, and DBT, my goal is to empower you with skills to respond effectively to these experiences and to build an enriching life. I approach therapy using a trauma-informed lens, and have specialized training in evidence-based treatments for PTSD.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a bi-racial (Asian and Middle Eastern) therapist and daughter of immigrants, I view exploration of identity as an important component of therapy. I prioritize discussion of my clients’ various identities and the ways these inform their problems and goals. If you think that we that we may be a good fit, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
